12 September 2010

Well had a good weekend helping the folks get wood for the winter. The kids had a good time also and got to ride in the back of the truck. Don't get to do that in the city too much. I will consider the wood days as workout days since I am pretty sore today. I have been getting something in aleast 3 times a week even if it is only an hour on the treadmill at 3.0 on the random setting. establishing a habit is the goal and the therapist has also said it is what I need to do. Also Dad has been telling me for years that that's what I need to do and Emily. So I will keep it up and hope for the best. I have even been pretty good at work and that is usually where I make most my excuses. Well everyone keep on keepin on and stay positive.

Sept 5, 2010

Started back up working out this past week. I was able to get 3 days in for at least 45 minutes a time. I would like to get to 4 days and get at least an hour in each time. A lot going on in my life but a good outlet will need to be a good exercise program. I walked/jogged a mile and a half yesterday, did 60 incline push ups my right shoulder is hurting quit a bit, and was able to get in 100 sit ups alternating from regular to twist. It has felt good and as things work themselves out over the next while it should get better. People in my life are good examples for me to follow.

I am going to start insanity tomorrow and do the fit test and then just follow the workout. I know I won't be able to keep up but I will do what I can and hopefully improve as I go. I have to get the working out with the diet and the blood sugar. I am taking a lot of insulin and need to cut down and the only way to do that is by doing what I am supposed to do. Wish me luck and say a little prayer.

9/26/10

I was able to get 3 days in this last week. I was only able to get an hour on the treadmill each time. I work right by our weight equipment so I try to do a couple sets when I go on break or just walk by. Work is very unstable right now I don't know how its all going to play out but I am trying to position myself for a good move at closure. I came down on the list for the Lt. position and I am hoping it will workout. Take care and be safe.

Well it has been awhile and I see we have all been in a bit of a slump. You all do know what you need to do and you are doing. A couple weeks ago I had defensive tactics class and it kicked my ass! I spent last week healing and feeling sorry for myself. I am on a 36 hour shift and at the end of it and feeling pretty tired. I did get 45 minutes on the treadmill on a hill program. My highest hill was a 6.4 and I averaged 3.0-3.5 speed. It felt good. I am going to try and hit the gym in the morning before I come out for my second 36 and then I will hope to atleast get one workout in that time. I will give a major effort to do something everyday even if it is only a 20 minute walk. Just do it!

I had 2 good days of activity and the last 2 down and doing nothing. A lot of it is the whole work thing is messing with me but like I said to Dad I just need to get over it and keep moving towards whatever goals I set for myself. Even with all the shit going on in my life right now I do feel good when I am doing some physical things. I will write tomorrow and let you know how it is going.

2/14/10

I know I am not living up to my goal but the last week has really sucked but it may be for the best. I did not get the promotion at DCD due to politics and it being government thats all there is. I was able to slide into the SRT position in the North Area it is a GS-07 and I will be working with a good friend. His goal is to get my tactics up to speed and take over the team leader position. This move will help with someother pursuits that I am looking at outside of work. I have not been working out on a regular basis so I am trying to turn it around.
I got a great work out in today. I went to the pool with Carah for a couple of hours and then went and did a work out at the Murray High track. It felt great and I feel very positive I hope it will stick. I also just got the insanity workout and will try to start that at the beggining of March. Keep up the work guys and stay positive.
